Chee Chow was born in Singapore and spent his first decade in Kuala Lumpur and London, where he experienced traces of the British Empire first-hand. After moving to California, he received his B.A. cum laude and M.D. from Yale University. A Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Southern California preceded a long career as chief of his department, practicing and teaching Rheumatology at Kaiser Permanente, East Bay. Recently retired from medicine, he now dedicates his time to completing the Fourth World Series (a trilogy is planned). He is the father of two, and lives with his wife in Orinda, California.
